me, writing a new chapter: okay, so this is the outline for this chapter, let's stick to it!
me, when the characters start doing whatever they want: oh, okay! that's fine, it still fits into the story, as long as we go back to using the outline as soon as you're done with whatever you're doing.
me, when the chapter ends up being 3+k of sadness and introspection, even tho the outline didn't have anything of the sort:

Clint Barton has always known he's not worth the air he breathes, the space he takes up. But somehow, he still manages to find himself on a team of superheroes and in a very stable relationship with Phil fuckin' Coulson. Which... It's great. Really great. Seriously, he couldn't be happier. Except then the universe (or, really, a jilted demigod) has to screw them all over. Clint thought he was ready - he's seen so many teammates die in the line of duty - but nothing could have ever prepared him for all of this.
part two: searching for a rush, until we've gone too far

rating: t+

When James "Bucky" Barnes, the legendary Winter Soldier himself, finally comes in from hunting down HYDRA by himself, Clint takes it upon himself to help the man get acclimated to his new life as a free man instead of a weapon of war. Unfortunately, it turns out that maintaining a friendship with an ex-assassin is harder than it appears to be, especially when pesky feelings get involved.

so yesterday, i posted about how i was having difficulty writing, and was most likely going to have to do a writing-sprint in order to get it done.
well...
that didn't happen. i managed to write an entire chapter without the help of a sprint. so now i'm watching pinky and the brain while i start writing the final chapter of the magic of miracles. so today's off to a good start.

writing is haaarrrrd
May. 7th, 2017 12:56 pmi finally managed to get chapter eighteen of magic of miracles written, typed up, and sent off to my beta, so now all i have to do is wait for her to send it back. i'll be updating the story again on tuesday, but all i want to do is update it now. ><;
i'm hoping to finish writing the next two chapters within the next week (two, at most), so that i can start working on "bonus content" for it.
anyway.
as the title says: writing is haaarrrrd. i'm trying to focus on starting chapter nineteen, but all i can do is watch cartoons and write only five words at a time. it's ridiculous. ><; here's to hoping it gets easier. i might have to do a writing-sprint to get the creative juices flowing.
oh, for the love of thor, i'm irritating myself with my lack of writing.
